The Elfsong Tavern
Need to get that extra bit of atmosphere for your weekly D&D games? Or are you just finalizing your own dream basement tavern?
If you're familiar with Dungeons and Dragons - be it the classic pen and paper games or the published video games - you might know The Elfsong Tavern. Featured in the classic Baldur's Gate video games as well as (obviously) the D&D campaign setting of Faerun along the Sword Coast. Do your adventurers all meet in a tavern like most campaigns start? Either way, this is a great feature to add to any game room, home bar or tabletop atmosphere.
Each sign is hand made and designed to look like a worn hanging sign above an inn one might find questing patrons within. There are several layers to each that give it a nice element of depth. A combination of paint, stain and hand-distressing techniques provide an authentic weathered look. As such, every sign will be unique and a bit different. The edges are cut to make it look like rough-hewn wood and then lightly torched for flavor. Each letter is attached by hand using an extremely strong adhesive, or in some cases for smaller letters industrial strength adhesive tape. The letters are laser cut for extreme precision, and this provides lots of options for custom lettering and text. A wooden shield design below lets patrons know what they might expect when walking through the doors. Finally, a few strips of walnut hardwood give a nice banded look along with the hardware tacks, and a chain is used as a hanging method for that extra authentic touch.
